Venta is remote computer control software of a different kind: instead of a screen to drive, you get an assistant on the other computer. You say what needs doing, it runs the commands you approve and reads the files you ask about there, and it tells you what happened.
Do the work without driving it
Instead of steering a mouse over a slow connection, you describe the outcome: “Restart the export on my office PC and tell me when it finishes.” Venta runs the commands you approve there, reads the files you ask about, and reports back.
Venta runs in your browser. To work on a computer, you link it once: a desktop app on Windows, or a one-file agent on macOS and Linux. After that Venta can read files there and run commands — only the ones you ask about, and only while the app is running.
Set it up
- Sign in to Venta in any browser.
- On the computer you want to reach, install Venta for Windows, or run the one-file agent on macOS or Linux.
- It appears under Your devices. From then on, ask for it by name.
The app and the agent connect out to Venta over HTTPS, so there is no port to open on your router.
How Venta differs from screen-sharing remote computer control software
TeamViewer and other remote-desktop tools let you see another computer's screen live and drive it with your own mouse and keyboard. Venta does not: it takes a request in words, runs the commands you approve on that computer, and answers in words.
