What it does
- Reads PDFs, Word documents, spreadsheets, CSV, HTML and text files you upload.
- Summarizes, pulls out figures and dates, and answers questions about what a file says.
- Works out answers from spreadsheet data, such as totals or the best-selling product.
- Keeps files you save to Venta Cloud for later conversations.
How it works
Venta extracts the text when you upload a file and answers your question from it. For documents you keep, it looks up the passages that match each question, so a question about a long file reads the parts that matter.
Example prompts
- Summarize this contract and list every date I need to act by.
- Which product sold best this month? — from a spreadsheet you attach.
- Compare these two quotes and tell me how they differ.
Limitations
- A scanned page with no text layer is read only if you drop it in as an image.
- The answer is only as good as the model reading the file; check figures that matter.
- A very long file is read by its matching passages, so a question that needs the whole file at once may miss something.
