Run commands on your computer by asking.

Link a computer once, then ask from any browser, phone included. Venta works out the commands, runs the ones you approve, and shows each one with its output.

For the errands that need a terminal: checking space, restarting a service, updating packages, moving files. You say what you want; the computer does it.

Run commands on your computer
Available on: Every plan, the free one includedWorks on: Windows, macOS, and Linux

What it does

  • Turns a request in plain words into commands for that computer's system.
  • Shows each command and its output in a terminal beside the conversation.
  • Asks before anything that deletes, buys or changes settings, unless you have allowed that kind of action.

How it works

Venta runs in your browser. To work on a computer, you link it once: a desktop app on Windows, or a one-file agent on macOS and Linux. After that Venta can read files there and run commands — only the ones you ask about, and only while the app is running.

You set a ceiling for what Venta may do on its own, and lower ceilings for particular tools. Purchases and deletions ask first unless you have allowed that kind of action, and a yes you give lapses on its own. Each command it runs is shown in the conversation as it happens.

Example prompts

  • How much free space is left on my laptop, and what is using the most?
  • Update the packages on my Linux server and tell me what changed.
  • Is anything listening on port 3000? Stop it.
  • Zip the project folder and put it on my desktop.

Limitations

  • It runs commands and reads files; it does not drive the mouse and keyboard.
  • The computer must be on and running the Venta app or agent.
  • It works only in the folders you have shared.
  • On macOS and Linux, the agent needs Node 18 or newer.

Questions people ask first

Which systems does it work on?
Windows through the desktop app; macOS and Linux through the one-file agent, which needs Node 18 or newer.
Can I see what it ran?
Yes. Every command is shown in the conversation as it runs, with its output.
Can I use it from my phone?
Yes. Open Venta in your phone's browser and ask; the linked computer does the work.
